It all started with the determination to reach a seemingly impossible goal: teach a twenty-year old nonverbal individual with autism how to cross the street safely. It took 6 months to reach that goal, using a clunky old voice-output device. Since then, weve refined the intervention strategy and embodied the finished product in this iPad app. Complete with interactive voice-output signals, data-tracking and recording features, two level options for predictable or randomized presentations of signals, and a user-friendly interface, iCrossing makes teaching street crossing accessible to all.
Features of iCrossing:
- Two level step-by-step intervention program
- Data-Tracking Capability
- Email data to caregiver for each session
- Error correction
- Task Analysis
- Voice output
- Supports unlimited number of clients
